DO NOT MACHINE WASH
HANDWASH ONLY
All of my knits are made with real wool!
Real wool has antimicrobial and antibacterial properties; therefore, your knitted items do not need to be regularly washed. You only truly need to wash your knitted goods if they are truly dirty, or if they have started to lose their shape. If you must wash your knitwear, I have provided the following tips:
- Use a no-rinse wool safe detergent (I highly recommend Eucalan)
- Soak your knitted item(s) in lukewarm water, for at least 15 minutes. It is completely normal to see some color in the water.
- Gently squeeze the garment in the soapy water to wash.
- Try to squeeze out as much excess water as you can when it is done soaking. Protip: roll the garment up in a dry towel, and squeeze to get more water out.
- Lay flat to dry. If it is misshapen, you can use foam blocking boards to reshape.
-  Never hang to dry
Other Tips:
- Real wool pills. I highly recommend using a bic razor or an electric sweater shaver to remove pills.
- Some of the wool I use sheds. Which is magical because now you have cute sheep and alpaca all over to bring you good luck. <3
- Never hang for storage. This causes knitted garments to stretch out of shape.
